Steinem will join with the Planned Parenthood abortion business and other leading abortion advocates for the January event. The event is part of standing up to the pro-life actions President Trump is expected to take to sign legislation that might include defunding the Planned Parenthood abortion company.Steinem encouraged abortion advocates to engage in lobbying and pressuring lawmakers to oppose defunding Planned Parenthood. She says if those efforts fail that abortion proponents should consider civil disobedience.And in supporting the pro-abortion March, Steinem says Donald Trump is not her president.She said, âWe have all the powers we had [before Trump was elected] of lobbying and pressuring and making clear that the political consequences are great. We may look up and feel powerless and think thereâs nothing we can do, but itâs not true.
