This editorial says that Texas politicians are trying to "bludgeon" Planned Parenthood, but the reality is that many women like myself -- women who have gone to the abortion industry for care -- are some of the most vocal proponents of defunding the abortion beast.Elected officials are doing the will of constituents like me in working to reallocate Planned Parenthood's funding to comprehensive care providers who do not kill children. I believe that the state is not defunding women's health; it's trying to fund better providers.When I went to my post-abortion checkup at Planned Parenthood, I was given a pregnancy test, pamphlets on STDs, the fastest physical examination I've ever experienced and was told to return to my regular gynecologist for contraception. There was nothing empowering about this appointment.
