It's doing tangible harm to women's health, causing horrible effects, and it's no longer just a theoretical debate. The results on the ground are sickening. After Gov. Christie cut all state funding for family planning in 2010, New Jersey saw a spike in gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, breast and cervical cancer cases, and tens of thousands of women are no longer getting treatment. With STDs on the rise nationally, the very least we can do is make screenings more available.
